Lumber Mills

Between 1856 and 1940 over 115 lumber mills operated in the north eastern section of Fresno County, known as the Pine Ridge and Shaver Lake timber areas. Well over a 400 million board feet of pine was cut, milled and shipped primarily to Toll House, Clovis and Fresno, California by wagon,flumes and trucks.
