The major objectives of the Eastern Fresno County Historical Society are:

1.  To establish and operate a historical society and museum and to preserve the history, antiques, artifacts and historical memorabilia of the eastern Fresno County area.

2. To encourage study and research in the field of California history with special emphasis on the foothill and mountain areas of eastern Fresno County, to collect historical material including manuscripts, documents, books, pictures and artifacts and make them available for study to persons, schools, and organizations interested in California history, and to collect, store and display specimens of natural historical significance.

3.To identify and preserve landmarks and sites of historical value in eastern Fresno County, California.

4. To cooperate with other organizations doing work of a related nature.
